Rippling is addictive

With IRB RW Ripple on hold, it's too big and too hot to work on.  Of course I needed to do another.  So I scratched in my way to big stash and found some Vinnis Nikkim Cotton.  Now this is a cotton that is made by previously disadvantaged ladies in the the Cape.  It's all hand dyed so you get really interesting colours.  And because I'm proudly South African, I LOVE the stuff!!!!

Why does the Neat Ripple Pattern by the amazing Attic24 make me so happy?  Also it's so addictive, I don't even want to work on anything else.

I am flying to Cape Town for a long weekend on Thursday and was very upset to find out that I can't even take a yarn cutter on the flight so I will have to take a new one colour project with me.

This ripple is supposed to be finished by the time I leave Cape Town as it is a present for my Niece but I don't think that is going to happen. After working on it solidly for just over a week I am not even half way done.  So it will have to be posted once I am finished.

Bags, Bags and Bags

Today I'm going to show you all the bags I made with the intentions of giving them to the teachers.  However I got so bored of making them I didn't.  They got a sarong and sun hat from us!  I have found homes for most of the bags but have kept the blue one for myself as I can't think of anyone who would want it!

African Flower Blanket

I have been out of touch for a long time due to no internet.  And I have been a busy bee with my hook in hand.  So what I thought I would do is go back through my phone (which I take my photos with) and for the next few days share the completed items I have made.  So today's is going to be the African Flower blanket that I have been busy doing and am finished.  It is already wrapped and waiting to go to a very special little girl for her 1st birthday.

It lives!

We are all doing the happy dance in the house today as the Internet has finally been hit.  One of the amazing things I love about living in Johannesburg is the amazing afternoon thunder storms we have.  But the not so amazing thing is that it means that it hits the telephone exchange.

I have loads of pictures to upload so I will do that tomorrow morning and I have loads to update.  So be prepared for a big update tomorrow.

But we are just all happy, happy, happy!!!
