Tuesday Tally - Week 1

IRB RWC Ripple is going to be my main focus of the one a day group.  However I have to admit I have another project that I love that is sitting in a bag next to me begging to be done at least make one a day.  I originally got the cotton for the African Flower Swap hosted on Ravelry but life has seemed to have gotten in the way and I am not going to make the deadline, I know pathetic.  I am a firm believer of never comitting to something you can't deliver but this was out of my hands.  I have made a few of these beautiful African Flowers and am going to be putting them together for a blanket for either my niece for christmas or my step sister for her birthday both are in December, but I will have to see if the Ripple is finished, it takes a day to do the required 6 rows of the Ripple.

But to share something different here are my African Flowers

And one more picture of the everlasting IRB RWC Ripple

  4. The flowers are so pretty, seeing the pattern pop up on the one a day challenge is making me want to make one, I think I will have to file it away as a future project though!

  7. Your African flowers are really pretty, what a great gift! The colours in the stripe appear to have a sheen, is it cotton too? I must admit, I like the clean look of cotton and after that acrylic doesn't cut it the same.

    Love both your projects!

  9. Very nice!
Are you going to add a black border...for an All Black win... and our own sorrow? ;-)

  11. Your African flowers are so sweet and I just love the colour combo.

Ripple is looking good. It is taking me about 3 days to do 1 double row on my ripple; for some reason I do not find this pattern easy but one a day is certainly motivating me to at least work on it each day.

  14. Oooo, love both projects. Great African flowers, will look amazing once joined up. Aren't they addictive to crochet?

And you've ended up with fantastic colour combos for your ripple. Who would have thought that choosing colours from the rugby teams that win/lose would be an effective colour choice technique. Well done.

  15. i think everyone has made at least one african flowers project! I've made a few myself. As a matter of fact, I have a couple of bags that I made that still need to be lined... hmmm... great colors, btw!

  18. Pretty colours in the African Flowers, I love that pattern. The ripple looks great. Looks like it's a double bed size? Think I'd feel a bit overwhelmed trying to start one that size. Single bed size is more than enough for me for now!

  20. Both projects are way awesome. If you have to go to Plan B so be it; shrug it off b/c the African Flowers still have a grand plan, yeah?

  21. I LOVE the African flowers and one day hope to make a blanket using them myself. I have such a long to do list though that it may take a while. LOL. I like the way your ripple has grown so quickly, you certainly are on a mission with that one. I hope you get it finished on time. It is going to look amazing!

  24. You're working on three projects? That's very impressive. I'm resisting starting a ripple blanket and am trying to remain exclusive to my blanket, but it's tough!

I love all your projects - they're looking fabulous :). I'll be watching the RWC final tonight - on the edge of my seat, along with the rest of my family too. High stress levels here ;)
