I have added 30 more rows to Take My Time and it's not even half way big enough. This is going to be a long termer. I have been toying with the idea of doing 4 colours (8 rows) everyday, just so I can get it done. Oh and Monster has decided he wants his room to go back to blue, so he doesn't even want this blanket anymore!!!! So I will have to find a new home for it.
Ribby hasn't been touched since Tuesday but this week I am going to set a goal for myself. Haven't decided what it will be but I will get it finished before Friday as RWC starts!
Today I will finish the 8 rows of Take My Time and then I want to make the four different squares I have in mind for my RWC blanket and see which ones I like doing and which ones the recipient likes.
Good Luck to all my fellow YOPers and don't forget to go over to When Did I Become A Knitter and check out more.
Well if Monster doesn't want it... you could ship it to Canada. I think it is gorgeous. I love the soothing earth tones.
ReplyDeleteForget about Canada :) --- How about Australia? Seriously though, I think your blanket is beautiful and I'm sure Monster will want it when its finished.
ReplyDeleteNot Canada, Not Australia............How about the USA? I love that blanket and I think Monster will love it too when it is done. Or you can put it in storage until he leaves home and then give it to him. Or you could ship it to me. :-)
ReplyDeleteI think it's gorgeous too! Eight rows sounds like a lot each day - is it manageable? I guess you'll want something easy to pick up and put down during the World Cup though!
ReplyDeleteNot Canada, Australia, nor USA you really want to send it to chilly, rainy Wales (UK)..........look no further for a home, I know of just the place!!
ReplyDeleteMonster doesn't know what he's going to be missing. Ribby is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYou have blue in it, so even if you give in and redo Monster's room in blue it will work. Would make a lovely ghan for my charity if you're really looking for a place for it where it will be appreciated.
ReplyDeleteI think that will look great with blue! And if not, the South East UK is a good place for lovely crocheted things :D
ReplyDeleteHe has plenty of time to change his mind again when he realises how lovely it is!
ReplyDeletewow can't believe how much of your blanket you've managed in just a week! i'm sure once you mention that you're going to send it somewhere else your monster won't want to let it go - it's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe blanket is gorgeous, and I love Ribby - can't wait to see what it becomes!
ReplyDeleteThe blanket is stunning. I can't believe anyone not wanting it. Great progress for a week.
ReplyDeletenicus love handmade blankets as do cancer centers and woman's shelters. It is lovely.
ReplyDeleteWell--someone, in rainy dreary gloomy Seattle would love it! ;) ;)
ReplyDeleteI say, save the blanket for when Monster decided to re-do his room back to blue!
*smiles*
The blanket looks great, I think it could go with a blue room
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like the makings of a "Ripple-Swop"
ReplyDeleteI'll take it :). It is lovely so I'm sure you will find a home for it soon enough.
ReplyDeleteThe blanket is so wonderful that you'll find it a new home in no time! Although, personally I'd keep it for myself:)
ReplyDeleteAnother voice (this one in COLD and nearly WINTER Wisconsin!) piping up and saying maybe you need a CONTEST for the blankie! :) Seriously, though, I also think it would look lovely in his blue room. :)
