FO Friday - Week 16

TGIF.  But I have woken up with a headache from not sleeping well.  I have taken some paracetamol so hopefully it will go away.

Today is all about getting ready for MASS CAST ON tonight.  That's right the Ravellenic Games finally start tonight!!!  I am so excited.  The downside to having so much time to plan is that I have begun to doubt myself on getting my project finished so I have changed it numerous times and am still not convinced I am going to start the one I have planned.

I finished the Oaklet shawl and am not happy with it, for one reason the yarn doesn't show the lace edge.  I loved the pattern and it was so easy to complete and I will definitely make another in a less busy yarn.

I also finished the ugliest scarf ever just so I could get that yarn finished and done with.  Hooray all destashed.

Thank you for all the lovely comments that you leave, I love reading them all.  For more amazing FO Friday's pop over to Tami's Ami Blog.

  2. Yay for destash! Well done for sticking with it, they still look good - the colours remind me of a football team (though which one, I don't know). Looking forward to seeing what you knit up for the games!

  3. YAY for destashing. And your Oaklet is lovely. Even if the yarn is a little busy

  4. I'm sorry you weren't happy with your FOs this week. Maybe you will find a friend who loves them! Great for the gift bin!

  5. I seem to have the opposite problem where the Ravellenic's are concerned- I am suffering an extreme case of overconfidence. The scarf, hat and socks will be off the needles in just a few days and THEN what will I knit? This is NOT how it's going to work in the real world...

  6. The scarf isn't ugly, it is just special! I'm sure that there is someone out there who would just love it! At the very least it is knitted up and out of the stash!

  7. I am so sorry that you are not happy with the scarf, I think it looks cool (especially on you it looks really wicked.)
Guess we all have some items finished that we are not happy with and that's ok.
I tend to put my unloved ones aside and more often than not I get a brain-flash months later, unravel them and start another project which I end up living

  9. I love the edging on the oaklet shawl. I'm always too nervous to buy bright variegated yarns because I never know how to use them. :)

  10. Just a quick note to let you know that your Rav link in the sidebar isn't working right. It's just because there's a " after your name that's causing an error. Thought you'd want to be aware!
